​Executive Committee of the FISU (International University Sports Federation) headed by FISU President Oleg Matytsin  have accepted an interim report about the preparations to the Winter Universiade Krasnoyarsk 2019 in Lausanne (Switzerland), on 3^rd of March.

The delegation comprises the FISU CTI Chairman Rodger Roth, the FISU WU Director Milan Augustin, technical delegate of FISU on Alpine Skiing, representative of FIS Matjas Kranjc and other representatives of FISU. The experts of FISU are going to estimate the level of organization and holding of the test event of Winter Universiade 2019 such as Russian Cup Stage Tzimik memorial, Russian Alpine Skiing (FIS) that is held from 5 to 9 March in Funpark “Bobrovy Log”.

The representatives of FISU are going to visit the Alpine Skiing competitions as the spectators. The delegates will discuss the work of the coordination center and main services of the sports venue involved in the preparation of the tests events: sports program, food and beverages, accreditation, athlete’s accommodation and many others.

According to the first estimations of the experts the preparation for the test events of the Winter Universiade 2019 was done successfully. Matjas Kranjc shared the impressions: «We have done the official check of the courses. And my big experience of work at the international competitions, Olympics and world championships let me say that these slopes are ready at the high level. Great snow preparation, courses protected by thousands meters of protective net for the safety of athletes. You have fast vertical transportation, beautiful buildings. Funpark “Bobrovy Log” is a really nice center of Alpine skiing”.

FISU Delegates are planning to visit Universiade venues such as “Platinum Arena” Ice arena, “Chrystal” Ice Arena, “Raduga” Cluster and Universiade Village. Working meetings are planned to prepare for the first official visit of representatives of the National University Sports Federation, which will be held from 12 – 13 March.

It is important to mention that in the end of the FISU visit debriefing will be held according to the Alpine Skiing Winter Universiade 2019 test event results. International University Sports Federation experts give an evaluation of the event organization and suggest recommendations to deliver the Winter Universiade 2019 in Krasnoyarsk.

It should be noted, that during the whole period of preparation for the Winter Universiade 2019 FISU paid more than 10 inspection visits to Krasnoyarsk.
