Russian Investment Forum in Sochi witnessed a presentation of the Winter Universiade 2019.

The Russian Investment Forum 2018 takes place from 14 to 16 February at the Main Media Center of the Olympic Park in Sochi. The exhibition program of the Forum features an exposition devoted to the Winter Universiade 2019.

The main goal of the Winter Universiade 2019 exposition is to promote the Universiade on a large international platform, as well as to invite the Forum participants to the Games in Krasnoyarsk and to the test events scheduled for 2018. According to organizers, more than 2,000 business people are expected to participate in the Russian Investment Forum program. More than 160 employees of foreign companies from Austria, UK, Spain, Italy, USA, Canada, France, Turkey, Japan and other countries will also attend the event.

Today, Acting Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Alexander Uss, visited the WU2019 booth. The Head of the Region tried his hand at the laser biathlon shooting range and had a look at the interactive presentation about the preparation for the games, which was implemented by means of a contactless control technology, Leap Motion. The Leap Motion technology allows stand guests to make a virtual tour to the venues of the Winter Universiade 2019 using their gestures.

Moreover, the Universiade exposition presents to participants and guests of the Forum up-to-date information about the sports program and the conditions for joining the volunteers of the Winter Universiade 2019. The site also features a photo zone with the WU2019 mascot, U-Laika, and a Siberian bar, where visitors are traditionally treated with sbiten.
