​Krasnoyarsk resident Sergei Gladkikh won a gold medal at The World Powerlifting Championship in Czech Republic, on Tuesday, November 14.

200 Sportsmen from 40 countries participated on The World Powerlifting Championship.

Sergei Gladkikh performed in the category up to 66 kg and won a gold medal on the first day of the competition. In total, he scored 805 kg for triathlon (squats - 310 kg, press - 210 kg, deadlift - 285 kg).

Sergei won his constant opponent Hassan El-Belgiti (32.5 kg) from France. Our sportsman also won a small gold medal in the exercise "squatting" and  silver medal  in the "press", according to the information of  Ministry of sport of Krasnoyarsk region.

His victory is the second this year.  Sergei Gladkikh become the first at the World Championships in Minsk in the discipline  "classical triathlon" in June. He brought six gold medals to Russia for his sports career.
