Economic, tourism and cultural potential of the Krasnoyarsk Region was demonstrated to the diplomatic representatives and business associations of foreign countries. The event, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the formation of the region, took place in the Moscow representative office of the region. The presentation was attended by ambassadors of the republics of South Ossetia, Abkhazia, Angola, Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama, Honduras, Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Mozambique, as well as representatives of the embassies of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Brazil, Djibouti, Rwanda, India, Nigeria, Bahrain, Malaysia, Mongolia, Mexico.

Chairman of the Government of the Krasnoyarsk Region Sergei Vereshchagin thanked foreign guests for their attention to the region and noted that its most important advantage is location, which allows it to be a logistics hub between Europe and Asia:

— Krasnoyarsk is a supporting region, located in the very centre of Russia. The largest transport routes pass through us, including the Siberia federal highway and the Trans-Siberian railway. Our Yenisei River, the most abundant in the country, has access to the Northern Sea Route. A number of major projects in the field of oil production, metal ore mining and metallurgy are actively being implemented here as we speak. We offer you cooperation in these and other areas. We have created comfortable conditions for doing business. The Region is one of the top forest regions of the country. We are developing wood processing and are actively engaged in reforestation. Agriculture is also well developed in the region. For a number of years, our farmers have demonstrated the best grain yields in Siberia.

Representatives of international business associations noted that such presentations are very useful for entrepreneurs; the opportunity for direct dialogue helps strengthen international business ties. Ahmet Ertekin, Vice President of SMK Holding (Turkey):

— Our construction company has returned to Russia, and we are looking for a region to cooperate with. We're enthusiastic about the potential of the Krasnoyarsk Region. It was widely known before, but now we see that many projects are being implemented or planned here, which means there is great potential in the construction sector as well.

Sergei Vereshchagin made a presentation of the investment potential and noted that after the main report, representatives of foreign business circles were actively interested in the possibilities of participating in projects implemented in the region in various industries. During the presentation, participants discussed issues of humanitarian, cultural and sports cooperation between the countries.
