Athletes of the Academy of Winter Sports of the Region became absolute and prize-winners of the III Russian-Chinese Youth Winter Games.

International competitions took place in Krasnoyarsk's sister city Changchun from December 16 to 19. The competitive programme included seven sports in total: cross-country skiing, mountain skiing, snowboarding, speed skating (including short track), figure skating, freestyle and curling. The sports delegation of the Russian Federation included 150 people.

On December 17, the Games held mountain skiing races in the giant slalom discipline. Among young men, a pupil of an Olympic Reserve school, an athlete of the regional Academy of winter sports Vladislav Yurevich won the gold medal. In competitions among girls Krasnoyarsk sportswoman Sofia Reshetnik in the same discipline became the owner of the bronze award.

On December 18, the awards in the parallel slalom discipline were played. The winner of the bronze medal in this discipline was a pupil of the Olympic Reserve school, an athlete of the regional Academy of winter sports Ilya Khurtin.

In the parallel giant slalom discipline, the athlete of the regional Academy Vladimir Pnyov turned out to be a step away from the podium and became the fourth.
