From November 23 to 26, the Region will host a festival of professional orchestras of national folk musical instruments "Element of Sounds". Six music groups from Krasnoyarsk, Bashkortostan, Tyva, Buryatia, Khakassia and Yakutia are said to participate.

A variety of concerts will take place in Krasnoyarsk, Lesosibirsk, Kansk, Achinsk, Minusinsk and Sharypovo. The programmes will be presented by the leading orchestras of national folk instruments of Russia.

— It is important for me that the Krasnoyarsk Regional Philharmonic becomes a point of attraction for the most diverse genres of performing arts. Such a festival is an excellent opportunity to diversify the Regional entertainment industry, to expand the locals' understanding of the diversity of cultures of our country. We are waiting for guests not only from Siberia, but also national collectives of Bashkiria, Buryatia and Yakutia. A feature of the festival will be the performance at the gala concert of a work specially written for the combined orchestra by our Siberian composer Vladimir Koshelev, – said Evgeny Stodushny, General Director of the Krasnoyarsk Philharmonic.

A rich business programme will take place within the framework of the festival. Guests of the festival will be able to attend workshops on making traditional musical instruments and learning how to play them, see an exhibition of national costumes and musical instruments.

The festival is organized by the Krasnoyarsk Regional Philharmonic with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation.
