XI Sister Cities of Russia and Belarus meeting themed "The role of sister cities in strengthening the Union State in the face of external challenges and threats" was held under the motto "We are together! The Union – will be!"

The event was attended by over 150 representatives from 35 municipalities of the Russian Federation and more than 60 representatives from 22 cities and regions of the Republic of Belarus. The discussion focused on issues of strengthening cooperation between the two countries.

This year, for the first time, representatives of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk and Kherson regions took part in the event. President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko sent greetings to the participants of the Meeting.

Krasnoyarsk was represented by Inna Dozortseva, Head of International Affairs Division of Mayor's Department.

— Such events are necessary to establish direct personal links with those with whom you interact on international inter-municipal projects. For example, we got to communicate with representatives of Minsk and Mogilev cities, met with colleagues from other Belarusian cities. A "pool" of participants interested in cooperation, creation and implementation of projects of the two states is being created as we speak. The meeting provided an opportunity to immediately discuss the implementation of these projects.

The next event, the XII Forum of Sister Cities of Belarus and Russia, will be held in Brest in 2023.
