This year's International Festival of Ethnic Music and Crafts "WORLD of Siberia" began its work in Shushenskoye, as its first contestants appeared on the main stage, the festival fair opened, the guests are offered treats in the local refectory, and the ethno-village opened for those wishing to participate in some Old Russian fun.

— It is so satisfying to once more gather on this clearing in Shushenskoye locality after three long years on a hiatus to plunge into the world of ethnic music, traditions and crafts. A special joy of it all is that this year's live folk marathon is set to last four whole days instead of regular three, because we missed the feeling of being able to communicate with artists and audiences alike, — said Minister of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Region Arkady Zinov.

The territory of the "WORLD of Siberia" begins beyond the Shush River. Landmarks inside the village are the following: Altaiskaya Street leads to a tent city and parking, where you can drive by car, and behind the Shushenskoye Museum-Reserve there is a bridge across the river, which will lead any pedestrian guests to the festival.

The grand opening of the festival is on July 8. The next two festival days will be busy. For example, on July 9, a workshop on playing the kalyuks will be held on the spiritual glade, and in the evening special guests of the festival will perform on the main stage: Namgar (Moscow, Republic of Buryatia); "Otava Yo" (St. Petersburg); Shiran (Israel/Yemen).

On the final day of the WORLD of Siberia, guest headliners will perform on the main stage during a gala.
