On August 28, the Krasnoyarsk Region will join the All-Russian Cinema Night - the main cinema event of the year, traditionally timed to coincide with the Day of Russian Cinema, which is celebrated in Russia on August 27.

Viewers from all over the country will be able to watch the best domestic films selected by popular vote on big screens. This year the winners are:

  • «Fire» (dir. Alexei Nuzhny, 2020) – heroic drama about firefighters;
  • «A Palm Tree» (dir. Alexander Domogarov Jr., 2020) – a touching story about true loyalty and friendship;
  • «The Little Humpbacked Horse» (dir. Oleg Pogodin, 2021) – an epic tale based on the work of Pyotr Ershov.​​

 


More than 150 venues of our Region will take part in the Cinema Night-2021 from polar Norilsk to the village of Karatuzskoye in the south.

In Krasnoyarsk, Yenisei Kino is set to become the main vendor of the event. In addition, seven more venues of the city, including cinemas, cultural spaces and libraries, will host relevant events and film screenings.

Each showing will be accompanied by a video about the cinematography of the Krasnoyarsk Region.

In addition to the main course of the Cinema Night-2021, viewers will have the opportunity to rewatch famous works of Karen Shakhnazarov, Eldar Ryazanov, Nikita Mikhalkov and other renowned directors in the programme prepared by Yenisei Kino.
