​The RIFF Feature, Documentary and Short Film Festival is the largest Italian-language festival in our country. Krasnoyarsk will be screening movies from February 4 to 14.

This year's programme includes comedies, melodramas, short films and documentaries by Italian directors. Most of the films participated in the Venice Film Festival and Berlinale 2020. Viewers will see new roles of Paola Cortellesi and Valerio Mastandrea, inspiring journeys to the worlds of Raphael Santi and artist Renato Casaro. A total of 16 novelties of Italian cinema will be shown.

Festival opening day — «Padrenostro», Claudio Noce

A drama about the friendship of two teenagers, Valerio and Christian, and one summer, during which they make two important discoveries: one terrible, about the cruelty of adults, the one beautiful, about the power of friendship. The film received an award for Best Actor at the 77th Venice Film Festival and nominations for two 'Lions' at once, for Best Film and Directing.

«Il mondiale in piazza», Vito Palmieri

The year is 2017. The Italian national football team does not qualify for the 2018 World Cup. In the south of Italy, a group of young fans decides to hold their own world championship. Right on the streets with teams from Italy and other countries, assembled from immigrants.

«L'ultimo Uomo Che Dipinse Il Cinema», film dedicated to the artist Renato Casaro, and the 4K journey to Renaissance Italy «Raffaello - Il Genio Sensibile» accompanied by the commentary done by leading researchers, restorers and art critics.

 

 


Festival closing day — «Odio L'Estate», Massimo Venier

«Odio L'Estate», or Italian Holidays, is the 11th joint film by Italy's favorite comic trio Aldo, Giovanni and Giacomo. Each of their comedy breaks all box office records in their homeland and collects awards: the trio has the Nastro d'argento and Telegatto awards, the Vittorio De Sica award for 'Contribution to Italian cinema' and the special Città di Sanremo prize 'For 25 years in the art of cinema'.
