​Participants of the World motor rally from Japan arrived in Krasnoyarsk

The participants of the World rally "Russia-Japan. Reserves of mankind" arrived in Krasnoyarsk 13th of June. Leaders of the action, Anatoly Vasilyev and Vladimir Scherbatyuk, said that  they had been driving around the world in a car that had received a nice nickname "Philya"  for two years.

The expedition dedicated to an important event: the years 2018-2019 were declared the year of Japan in Russia and the Year of Russia in Japan. The goal of the race is to strengthen interethnic relations and to change the view and attitude of foreigners towards Russia. The team is always looking for new people who want to see more than the neighbor window.

"We show people what a huge and beautiful country we have, instill love for nature and its protection, we are friends with different inhabitants of the planet, " Anatoly Vasilyev  shared. - The team is multinational, it has both the Japanese and representatives of the peoples living in Russia. All these people voluntarily decided to go with us and see the world. We are pleased to invite everyone to join.

 


During the two years of traveling, Philya and his team traveled hundreds of thousands of kilometers and traveled to different parts of the Earth. The motor rally team took part in dozens of actions dedicated to the year of volunteer in Russia, the Victory Relay, the martial arts of Japan and Russia and many others during a visit to Russian and Japanese cities.

During the expedition at different stages, it was attended by more than 500 people aged from 9 to 92 years. It involved about 100 cars and 50 motorcycles, 20 aircraft and two helicopters. The maritime passage of more than 1000 nautical miles through the Sea of Japan took place on the ferry "DBS Eastern Dream". The total mileage of the rally by land was 20 thousand kilometers, of which 17 thousand in Russia and 3 thousand in Japan.

Expedition members are planning to get to Moscow by July 20. On this day the J-FEST Summer 2019 Japanese Culture Festival will start at Gorky Park, Moscow.
