The International Robotics Championship has been held annually since 2020 and serves both as an important platform for youth to showcase their best solutions in the field of robotics and an open international forum for knowledge exchange in the art of engineering and technology. The Championship is included in the list of events of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
In Krasnoyarsk, the Championship is organised by ANO "Robotics Laboratory "Future Engineers" and the Krasnoyarsk City Administration.
Founded in 2016, the ANO "Robotics Laboratory "Future Engineers" (Krasnoyarsk) manages project implementation aimed at developing modern interdisciplinary STEAM skills in children and young people aged 4 to 25 through participation in robotics competitions and tech project creation in Russia. The director of the ANO "Robotics Laboratory "Future Engineers" is Maksim Turushev, graduate of the Krasnoyarsk State Pedagogical University and member of the Krasnoyarsk Civic Chamber.
Since 2020, the ANO "Robotics Laboratory "Future Engineers" has been organising the International Robotics Championship – a global competition for children and young people aged 4 to 25 across various disciplines. Thousands of participants from Russia and abroad take part in the Championship annually.
