​Adam Kurak has become a two-time European Champion.

Greco-Roman wrestling European Championship was finished in Kaspiysk (Republic of Dagestan, Russia). Two athletes presented Krasnoyarsk Territory - Vasiliy Topoev (55 kg) and Adam Kurak (72 kg).

Adam Kurak began his tournament path with a hard fight against  Hungarian sportsman Balint Karpasha. The fight ended with a score  - 3:3. He  outmuscled Czech athlete Jahn Žižka with a score - 8:0 and in the semifinals overcame Georg Sahakyan, represented Poland, with a score - 5:2.

World Champion, prize-winner of Olympics Rasul Chunayev from Azerbaijan opposed Adam Kurak in the final. The fight ended with the victory of  Krasnoyarsk sportsman with a score  - 9:5.

"This is my second gold medal in European championships after 2014 year, when I was the first in Vantaa in Finland," Adam Kurak said. "My goal is to participate in World Championships and  Olympic Games and this reward has become for me a stimulus to do it. I  don't plan the category I will perform in, because my weight is non-Olympic now. As for my «gold», as Buvaysar Saytiev said, «if I divide my "gold" between everyone who helped me, I will have a tiny bit».
