Wrestler Mingiyan Semyonov won silver medal on the world championship
Greco-Roman wrestler from Krasnoyarsk who studied in The Dmitry Mindiashvili wrestling academy won a silver medal on the World Wrestling Championship.
There were three men from Krasnoyarsk at the competition in Tashkent: freestyle wrestler Viktor Lebedev (57 kg class), Greco-Roman fighters Adam Kurak (66 kg class) and Mingyan Semionov (59 kg class). The bronze medalist of London Olympics Mingyan Semyonov participated in the World Championship at the first time and got silver medal. The gold medal went to Iranian athlete Hamid Sourian who defeated Semyonov, his score in the final was 2- 1.
Russian national team became the first in the all-team rank. Russian wrestlers have 15 medals in general: 6 gold, 4 silver, 5 bronze ones.
