Governor Mikhail Kotyukov presented awards to 16 laureates. The first to be recognized was Pavel Selivanov from Krasnoyarsk, who received gold at the 2026 European Judo Championship and silver at the World Championships in Team Judo for athletes with profound visual impairments.
Prizes were awarded in ten categories. The winners included athletes from various regions of Russia. Mikhail Kotyukov thanked athletes for their accomplishments during his welcoming speech:
— The achievements of our paralympic athletes are a powerful motivator for many: we all should believe in ourselves, consider taking up physical activity even after injuries and difficult life circumstances. The victories of athletes with disabilities are proof of the limitless potential of those with a strong spirit.
The "Return to Life" award has been presented since 2005. This is the second time the ceremony has been held in Krasnoyarsk Region: it was first held here in 2018.
