As part of the YARkie BEREGA (or "Bright Shores") project, the interethnic festival "Wreath of Friendship" was organised for the first time this past weekend, celebrating the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia and State Flag Day. Along with the Russian tricolor, the flags of various nations flew over the Yenisey River, symbolizing our unity and respect for cultural diversity.

National and cultural autonomies set up their sites on the central embankment for everyone willing and curious to learn and experience the everyday lives, crafts, and culinary traditions of various peoples. Krasnoyarsk residents created jewelry and other ornamental items and participated in workshops and tradtitional games.

The musical programme included folk songs and dances. Shining on stage were the Krasnoyarsk Chamber Orchestra, artists from the Krasnoyarsk Musical Theatre with their performance "Shamanka," the folk theatre "Ladov Day," the Krasnoyarsk Chamber Choir, the vocal group "Bratyna," the traditional Russian song ensemble "Zori," and the musical group "Bologo."
