The 4th International Business Forum "SPROUTS: Russia and China – Mutually Beneficial Cooperation" took place in Kazan on August 16-19. This large-scale event attracted approximately 5,000 participants, including delegations from 60 Russian regions and representatives of 200 Chinese companies.

Krasnoyarsk was represented at the forum by Elena Kuksenko, Principal of Lyceum No.1 of Krasnoyarsk. As part of the "Sister-City Arrangements as an Effective Way to Find Reliable Partners" platform, she presented a report on developing global competencies through school exchanges. Kuksenko shared Krasnoyarsk's experience of collaboration with its long-trusted partner city Changchun. Her presentation took place at the session led by the Mayor of the city of Kazan himself Ilsur Metshin.

Cooperation between the schools in the two cities began in 2024 after the signing of an agreement. Since then, students from Lyceum No. 1 and their peers from Changchun have exchanged visits, shared experiences about the two cultures and traditions of both countries, and established regular online lessons.

The Forum also featured international chess tournament. Krasnoyarsk was represented by students from the "Vertical" sports school: the students competed against teams from sister cities online, representing our city and achieving commendable results.
