14.07.2026The International Festival of World Music and Crafts "WORLD of Siberia" was held in its traditional place of Shushenskoye.
According to the organisers, 83 thousand people visited the event. The Festival participants included ethnic music and dance performers, craftspeople, artisans and entrepreneurs from Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Algeria, Armenia, India, China, Kyrgyzstan and France. Masters from Russian cities presented their best handicrafts at the City of Crafts fair. 43 participants from 16 Russian regions took part in the Festival contest.
The Festival programme consisted of over 400 events, including concerts, workshops, handicrafts exhibitions, family activities and contest performances. 8 couples from Krasnoyarsk region, Khakassia and Chelyabinsk region registered marriage on the sidelines of the event.

During the closing ceremony of the 4-day event, the jury chose the winners of the Festival's MIRA-2026 award. The Grand Prix of the ethnomusic award was received by the soloist from Yakutia Tuyara Alekseeva. The small celebratory "cup" went to the soloist Agatha Hovalyg. And the Grand Prix of the craftsman's award for the national music instruments was granted to Marat Damdyne from Kyzyl.

In 2026 the Festival was hold under the aegis of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO and was supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. The Festival was included in wide range of events, dedicated to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia.
