Practical issues of expanding bilateral ties between the Krasnoyarsk Region and the Republic of Namibia were discussed in Moscow by Andrey Wolf, Head of the Permanent Mission of the Krasnoyarsk Region to the Government of the Russian Federation, and Her Excellency Monica N. Nashandi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Namibia to the Russian Federation.

The meeting focused on prospects for increasing trade turnover, the possibility of launching joint tourism programs, and intensifying cultural exchanges. A separate section of the talks was devoted to education, one of the most promising areas for further cooperation.

Particular interest was expressed in the partnership between Krasnoyarsk and Windhoek. The parties positively assessed existing ties in education and explored opportunities for the expansion of cooperation in other spheres. It was noted that the accumulated experience provides a strong foundation for more ambitious joint initiatives.

Following the meeting, the participants reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the partnership and agreed on specific steps to implement the planned projects. The parties expressed confidence that further development of the dialogue would yield tangible results for both sides. At the end of the meeting, Andrey Wolf invited Monica Nashandi and representatives of the Namibian delegation to pay an official visit to the Krasnoyarsk Region to gain first-hand knowledge of the region's economic, scientific, and cultural potential.

The Joint Activities Plan for Krasnoyarsk, Russia and Windhoek, Namibia (the Roadmap) was signed on the sidelines of the 2025 BRICS International Municipal Forum in St. Petersburg. Plans call for the signing of a cooperation agreement between the cities of Krasnoyarsk and Windhoek at the Moscow Municipal Forum, which will be held in October–November 2026.​
