Tennis

19-year-old Krasnoyarsk-born Mirra Andreeva clinched the title at the 2026 French Open, Roland-Garros, held in Paris. On June 6, she defeated Poland's Maja Chwalińska 6-3, 6-2 in what was her first Grand Slam final. With this victory, Andreeva became just the fourth Russian woman to secure the singles champion title in Roland-Garros history. At 19, she also became the tournament's youngest winner in 28 years.
Climbing

Climber Maria Silkina, representing the Krasnoyarsk Region, earned silver at the World Climbing Europe Youth Championship 2026 in Hungary. On June 14, Silkina competed in the bouldering final in Sukoró, where she finished second in a tightly contested battle, narrowly losing to Switzerland's Amélie Kägi. This podium finish marks Silkina's first at a European youth tournament. She previously won the 2026 Russia-China Summer Youth Games and the 2024 Children of Asia International Sports Games.
Grappling

The Grappling European Championship in Yerevan, Armenia, brought together hundreds of athletes from 12 countries. On May 27, three competitors from the Krasnoyarsk Region took home medals. Alsu Yanshina became European champion in the under-64 kg category, defeating Ukraine's Mila Tsalai. Olesia Zhuravleva also claimed gold in the under-58 kg division, overcoming Italy's Emma Rosini. In the men's under-62 kg category, Krasnoyarsk's Igor Kuzurgashev secured silver, losing in the final to Ruslan Radzhabkhanov of Dagestan.
