In 2026, Krasnoyarsk celebrates the 398th anniversary of its founding. Festive celebratory events took place throughout June 11 to 14. The theme of this year's celebration is "Krasnoyarsk: City of Friendship," which is dedicated to the idea of preservation of cultural diversity and traditions.

As usual, City Day celebrations in Krasnoyarsk began the day before Russia Day holiday observed every June 12. On June 11, the city kicked off the events with the ceremonial raising of the city flag and evening entertainment events at Central Embankment, in Gagarin Park, Sverdlovsky Square and Mayakovskogo Avenue.

One of the unique formats for City Day in Krasnoyarsk was the "This Big World!" event, during which a combined choir of 398 music school students performed the Russian anthem and the Krasnoyarsk city anthem. Famous songs from well-known children's films were also performed.
