Teams from Krasnoyarsk and Krasnoyarsk Region took 29 podium places in various categories, setting a record for the most awards for one region in the seven years of the International Robotics Championship's history. Among the absolute winners, who will present their projects and robotics skills internationally in other countries, are the teams "Legacy" (Krasnoyarsk Region), "BLB" (Irkutsk Oblast), "FIRSTEAM" (Nizhny Novgorod Oblast), and "Bobry" (Sverdlovsk Oblast).

For four days, from April 16 to April 19, Krasnoyarsk became a real capital of engineering thought. More than 520 teams of future engineers from 37 regions of Russia came to compete, communicate, and share their knowledge and skills. The participation of guests from China, India, Ecuador and several African countries confirmed the Championship's international status. Compared to the first Championship, held in 2020, the number of teams has tripled.

16 different competition challenges immersed the participants in the world of scientific and technological creativity. For the first time, they showcased a drone football league, projects created using laser cutters and 3D printers, and phygital formats combining physical and digital technologies. The two main topics of the Championship were improving road infrastructure and hydropower.

The International Robotics Championship confirmed its status and was held with great success. What was most striking was the children's energy, their engagement, the sparkles in their eyes, and the joy with which they approached their work. Despite their young age, these young engineers come up with innovative ideas and solutions and are unafraid of making mistakes. It's no exaggeration to say that they represent the technological future of our country. I am grateful to the participants' parents and coaches for their support, to the expert volunteers, all our partners and all members of our organizers' team for making this brilliant event possible.

An eventful business program was held alongside the competition. Industry experts discussed key issues related to increasing labor productivity through the implementation of robotic technologies and digital transformation in production processes. They also focused on human resource development and creating conditions for the systematic support of talented children, starting from an early age.

This year, over four thousand participants attended the Championship, and nearly 11,000 people visited its venues. This demonstrates the strong interest in robotics and engineering creativity in general. Based on the competition's results, we will create a catalog of promising projects and a list of measures to support talented children. We will also develop a strategy for making Krasnoyarsk the capital of educational robotics, which will significantly strengthen the educational infrastructure in schools and universities, as well as create a pool of in-demand personnel for high-tech industries, serving businesses not only in our city but also across the whole of Russia.

Sergey Vereshchagin, Mayor of Krasnoyarsk.
