Krasnoyarsk will once again host "Nansen" Lecture Festival, a large-scale popular science marathon. This year's event is dedicated to the theme of "The Body." The programme will bring together diverse perspectives on the human body, from medicine and anthropology to art, music, fashion, and space exploration.
The Festival's format includes a series of short lectures that can be freely attended throughout the day, as well as participation in additional activities and partner events.
Notable speakers include Vladimir Lande, Principal Conductor of the Krasnoyarsk Academic Symphony Orchestra; Alexey Vodovozov, physician and science journalist; Roman Moryachkov, Senior Researcher at the Krasnoyarsk Scientific Centre of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences and PhD in Physics and Mathematics; Elena Sudarikova, anthropologist, winner of the "Best Tour Guide" award and recipient of the RAS Commission on Science Popularisation Award, and others.
Interesting factoid:
The Festival was named after the Norwegian explorer and scientist Fridtjof Wedel-Jarlsberg Nansen, who visited Krasnoyarsk in 1913.
