20.02.2026On the day of the official launch of the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, declared by the President of the Russian Federation, the international student culinary competition "Cuisine Without Borders" was held at the Institute of Food Production of the Krasnoyarsk State Agrarian University as part of the large-scale festival "Students Without Borders."
Student teams from 10 countries participated in the competition: Russia, India, Kyrgyzstan, China, Costa Rica, Morocco, Mongolia, Nicaragua, Tajikistan, and Ecuador. Participants represented the Krasnoyarsk Region's leading universities: Krasnoyarsk State Agrarian University, Krasnoyarsk State Medical University named after Professor V.F. Voyno-Yasenetsky, Siberian Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Reshetnev University, Krasnoyarsk State Pedagogical University named after V.P. Astafyev, and Siberian State Institute of Arts named after D. Hvorostovsky.
The teams not only presented their national dishes to the jury but also creatively designed thematic areas using decorations and attributes of national culture.
The jury included the hospitality industry experts.
The Grand Prix was won by the team from the Republic of Ecuador (Krasnoyarsk State Medical University named after Professor V.F. Voyno-Yasenetsky), first place went to the team from the Kyrgyz Republic (Krasnoyarsk State Agrarian University), second place went to the team from Nicaragua and Ecuador (Siberian Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia), and third place went to the team from the Republic of Tajikistan (Reshetnev University).
"Krasnoyarsk Agrarian University is proud to become the main venue for such a significant event. Such lively and warm meetings, where students from around the world studying in our region share their traditions, are the true foundation for strong international cooperation built on trust and respect," the university noted.
The main goal of the event was to promote traditional hospitality and preserve the cultural heritage of the peoples whose representatives study at universities in the Krasnoyarsk Region. The competition was a practical contribution to strengthening international dialogue and mutual understanding among young people.

Currently, citizens of 69 countries study at universities in the Krasnoyarsk Region. The "Students Without Borders" festival and the "Cuisine Without Borders" competition are key events aimed at the successful social and cultural adaptation of international students and the strengthening of friendly ties.
