06.02.2026This week a modern phygital center has opened in Krasnoyarsk at the Krasnoyarsk College of Olympic Reserve. It combines digital technology and sports to train next-generation athletes. It features venues for drone racing, 20 automated gaming workstations for eSports disciplines, racing simulators, rooms with game consoles, and a rhythm simulator.
The center is the first specialized venue of its kind in the region. It was created as part of a federal program to develop the phygital movement in Russia.
The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Sport of Russia Alexey Morozov, Vice President of the All-Russian Phygital Sports Federation Levon Bakunts, Minister of Sports of the Krasnoyarsk Region Denis Petrovsky, and Director of the Krasnoyarsk College of Olympic Reserve Sergey Venevtsev.
This is a wonderful event for the Krasnoyarsk Region and the entire country. A great amount of work has been done to introduce a new sport that combines digital technology and physical activity to develop new skills in young people. The phygital movement is still in its infancy, but it is already rapidly gaining popularity worldwide.

The Krasnoyarsk center marks our anniversary — it's our twentieth center in Russia. The Krasnoyarsk Region has always been renowned for its sporting traditions and champions. And it is here, in Krasnoyarsk, that one of the first "portals" to the future — as we call these phygital centers — is now opened.

Minister of Sports of the Krasnoyarsk Region Denis Petrovsky thanked the federal ministry for the opportunity to open a new venue in the regional capital and called the opening of the center a landmark event.
In our region, phygital sports are developing within the higher education system at SFU. It's great that it will now be promoted at the Olympic Reserve College, where a phygital club was organized several years ago. The new center is a foundation that will facilitate the further development of this promising sport in our region.

Immediately after the opening of the center, the Krasnoyarsk Region Phygital Sports Championship in the discipline of "combined sports and tactical shooting" began at the new center. Ten teams from various educational institutions in the region competed for victory in the three-day tournament.
It should be noted that the Phygital Center is not only for athletes; it opened its doors to the public on February 1.
