26.12.2025The official ceremony took place on December 25, 2025. After the oath of office was taken, the newly elected Mayor, Sergey Vereshchagin, was presented with the trappings of power. Honorary Citizen of Krasnoyarsk Viktor Kardashov presented him with a heraldic pendant and the "Mayor's Star" insignia, while Deputy Chairman of the City Council Andrei Kozikov presented him with a symbolic key to the city.
Then, the event participants congratulated Sergey Vereshchagin on his official inauguration.
Chief Federal Inspector for Krasnoyarsk Region Sergey Blinov read a congratulatory telegram from Anatoly Seryshev, Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Siberian Federal District.
First Deputy Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Region and Head of the Governor's Administration Sergey Ponomarenko read a congratulatory address from the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Region Mikhail Kotyukov:
This is a significant moment in your professional career and a significant event for all Krasnoyarsk residents. The city is home to a third of all residents of the Krasnoyarsk Region, it hosts international and national events, and is now preparing for its 400th anniversary in 2028. Also, Sergey Vereshchagin was congratulated on his inauguration by Alexey Dodatko, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Region, and Viktor Kardashov, a member of the Legislative Assembly and Honorary Citizen of Krasnoyarsk.
In his response, Sergey Vereshchagin noted:
