The Grand Prix award of the Festival went to the Franco-Brazilian team for the film "Os Barcos", directed by Vincent Boujon, who greeted Krasnoyarsk via videomessage:

— The fact that the film received an award from the other side of the world proves that people's lives have far more in common than some would believe.

Iranian director Hadi Shariati's "Shadow of the King" was chosen as the best in the short and medium-length film category. Mira Erkenova's "Black Blizzard," filmed in Norilsk, was named best film in the Russian program. Nina Izotova's "Not Strangers" was chosen by the audience jury. Two other Russian directors also received special mentions: Dmitry Zhukov's "99 Letters About Everything" and Karen Gevorkyan's "The Postman."

SiberiaDOC director Nikolai Bem on the Festival:

— In total, we screened six world premieres and 15 Russian ones. This is the testament to the fact our Festival attracts enormous interest not only in Russia but also internationally. During the event, we had the opportunity to discuss how to promote documentary genre and how to get audiences used to enjoying it.

The III SiberiaDOC International Film Festival was held in Krasnoyarsk from November 28 to December 7. The 2025 competition received over 500 submissions from 55 countries. The programme included 37 films from 15 countries, from Canada to Chile, from the Netherlands to Iran.

The SiberiaDOC International Film Festival has been held in Krasnoyarsk since 2023. The project is supported by the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives and the Russian Ministry of Culture.
