The fifth "Russian Creative Week – Siberia" Festival and Forum just took place in Krasnoyarsk. The mere fact of a considerable amount of achievements in the so-called "creative economy" accomplished by the industrial Krasnoyarsk Region is already a precedent for Russia. Today, new prospects are opening up for the development of creative industries in the Yenisey region: with the creation of infrastructure, expanded cooperation with federal institutions, and youth training.

The event was organized by ANO "Creative industries" and ANO "Siberian Institute for the Development of Creative Industries" with the support of the Presidential Executive Office and the Government of the Krasnoayrsk Region. Krasnoyarsk welcomed guests from other regions and even countries for the Creative Week: the total number of participants in the business programme of the Forum exceeded 1,500 people, not to mention about 130 experts, federal and regional, who spoke at the event both offline and online.

The forum primarily focused on value-oriented economy, which forms the atmosphere in society, according to one of the guests of the forum, the Chief of the Presidential Directorate for Social Projects Sergei Novikov:

— When we just get cubic meters of wood, coal, gas, barrels of oil, it doesn't get a meaningful label behind it. Yes, it is the basis of economic development, but people do not feel an instant effect in the atmosphere from these successes. And all the creative industries are precisely the meaning-forming industries. Therefore, we are talking about the need to transmit traditional moral and spiritual values and strive to unite our society on their basis.

Prior to the start of the Forum-Festival on November 12, the creative cluster "Quadrat" hosted the music industry forum Colisium Siberia and the international conference on industrial design "Promdiz" - the first in Russia.

Many creative minds of the Regional industrial enterprises, as well as representatives of design bureaus and students of SibFU, presented their projects on their products' redesign. The results were highly appreciated by the guests of the conference, such as Presidential Envoy to the Siberian Federal District Anatoly Seryshev and Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Region Mikhail Kotykov:

— Siberia is a fertile ground for the most ambitious plans and projects. It is amazing how our youth has the opportunity to work with the veterans of the industry, and on our end we have to make sure to implement those ideas and new practices into our everyday lives. The results themselves are just half a job, as it is also important to present them properly.

The "Promdiz" conference attained international status thanks to the experts from Belarus, China, India and Switzerland who took part in the event and shared their best experience and practices.

Since 2021, the growth of total investment in the development of the creative sector of the Region reached 291%, the contribution to GDP increased by 1.5, and the market volume of creative industries doubled and reached 162.8 billion rubles. These are the data of studies conducted by the Urban Development Institute "POLIS" and ANO "Siberian Institute for the Development of Creative Industries". The Krasnoyarsk Region proves that the creative industries can be an engine of growth, noted "POLIS" Executive Partner Alexander Krasovtsev:

— Creative industries are a mirror of the maturity of the management apparatus. It confirms that it is ready to manage a large area of uncertainty, very complex. And the Krasnoyarsk Region acts as a laboratory that develops, tests new formats of management logic - when the government is not the commissioner of changes, but the moderator of these processes.
