The V International Olympiad on Financial Security concluded in Krasnoyarsk. The five-day event was held by Siberian Federal University.

Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation:

— Five more countries joined the Olympiad of this year. We had about 600 people from 40 countries in the final round. A total of 188 participa​nts became winners and runners-up: 27 Russian school students and 161 university students from Russia and abroad. I congratulate the young participants and wish them continued growth and advancement.

Rosfinmonitoring Director Yuri Chikhanchin emphasized the growing interest young people and the expert community express in the International Olympiad:

— More than 1100 participants took part in the final week of the Olympiad; which is approximately 600 school and university students and 500 experts. Over the course of just five days, over 100 events were held across all four tracks: educational, professional, cultural, and sports. This year's leading topic was technology and innovation, both in terms of their use in criminal activity and those people who counter it.

The students solved various problems and cases, but also identified and talked about current challenges during workshops, discussed career paths at the "On Important Topics" event, showcased their countries' cultural identities at the "Olympiad in Colors" Festival, and tested their skills in sports competitions and a phygital chess tournament. In commemoration of the international event, the students also planted an alley of pine trees on the SFU campus.

Mikhail Kotyukov, Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Region:

— Dear friends, this has been a week of unforgettable experiences for all of us who followed the Olympiad and the events that unfolded here. I thank each and every one of you for these emotions! The master classes, discussions, and the cases solved at the Olympiad are behind us, and life lies ahead, presenting you with completely different challenges. That said, I have no doubt that you will overcome any of them. Congratulations to all the winners and runners-up. Come visit us again: we are doing everything we can to make sure everyone has a great time!

Amini Zahra, Iran: "Participating in the Olympiad is a great opportunity for me. I study Russian literature because I've always been in love with Russia: its culture, its people. This is my first time here, and I really enjoyed it: I made many new friends from all over the world."

Ngitanwa Linekela Shivoomwene, Namibia: "I was very impressed; I have experienced a lot of emotions from this large-scale festival. It was also educational: we learned so much from experts from different countries. This is definitely a significant event to be sure."

Lopez Cruz Torres, Mexico: "Here in Krasnoyarsk, I felt an instant connection with all the people participating. I've never seen nature like this. Krasnoyarsk is a wonderful place!"

Juan Rodriguez Merchan, Uruguay: "This is my second time in Russia and I've long dreamed of visiting Siberia. This is a great opportunity. I think the theme of the Olympiad is very important and meaningful. During the event, we were learning about new technologies and processes for ensuring international financial security."

The selection committee has again selected Krasnoyarsk as the host city for next year's Olympiad.
