Mayor of Krasnoyarsk Vladislav Loginov and the Chairman of the Mogilev City Executive Committee Sergei Chertkov signed a Memorandum on the establishment of sister city relations between the cities.

The parties reached an agreement on strengthennig cooperation in the fields of economics, trade, transport, tourism, culture, education, sports, and youth policy. Establishing mutually beneficial partnerships between the cities will contribute to the development of multilateral relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus.

Mayor Loginov joined the working visit to the Republic of Belarus as part of the delegation of the Krasnoyarsk Region led by the Governor Mikhail Kotyukov.

In Mogilev, Krasnoyarsk delegates participated in the flower-laying ceremony at the Eternal Flame at the Memorial "To the Fighters for Soviet Regime". Then they presented diplomas to the participants of the military-patriotic festival "Krasnoyarsk. Chronicle of Victory".

Krasnoyarsk and Mogilev are long-standing partners. In 2001, the cities signed an Agreement on Cooperation in the Trade and Economic, Scientific and Technical, and Humanitarian and Cultural Spheres. And cooperation has been ongoing all this time. Thus, last year a joint concert of the Krasnoyarsk Chamber Orchestra with the Chamber Choir of the Mogilev City Chapel took place in Mogilev.
