Today we’d like to write about the incredible success of the Krasnoyarsk Team 6916 ASPIRITY. No, they didn’t win the 2025 FIRST® Championship in the United States, but they surely demonstrated exellent robotics skills and the fact that luck wasn’t on their side this time (some of their robot’s equipment got broken during the semi-final match) is greatly outweighed by their accomplishments on their way to this match.
Many years of hard work - perseverance in practical studies, competing at various levels, becoming a real team – it’s been a long way, really.
Finally, this year – passing through several qualification stages, winning the Cyprus FTC Championship, getting a quota for the 2025 FIRST® Championship in Houston, becoming one of the two best teams at the qualification stage (9 victories in 10 matches) and getting the right to form their Alliance for the playoff stage, going strong and winning 7 matches (including an absolutely improbable draw, rematch and victory in one of those) while losing just one.
Yes, they didn’t manage to make the last step – to the final, but they HAVE WON! They have won our respect and our hearts!
They have proven once again that ASPIRITY is not just their team’s name. This word, non-existent in English language, is a one-word motto of this brilliant Krasnoyarsk team – always keeping the state of mind, the spirit of aspiration, “a strong desire to achieve something high or great”.
Unfortunately, we lost this match ... But all the matches we competed in brought us a lot of new experience and impressions, and we managed to show a good game!
We are happy that we had this unique chance to become participants in the FIRST® World Championship!
