The XXXV anniversary Golden Grand Prix Ivan Yarygin took place at the Ivan Yarygin Sports Palace. 475 of the strongest female and male wrestlers from all over the world took part in the competition. For four days, the honor of our Region was defended by 12 women and 20 men. In the team competition, the Russian team came first (15 gold, 10 silver, 28 bronze). In the second place are representatives of Mongolia (4 gold, 7 silver, 2 bronze). Wrestlers from Belarus came third (1 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze).

The Iranian team took one silver medal, the Uzbekistan team four bronze medals, Kyrgyzstan three bronze medals, while representatives of China and Azerbaijan went home with one bronze medal each.

At the closing ceremony of the competition, Mayor Vladislav Loginov addressed the winners and participants of the tournament:

— For all of us, the name of Ivan Yarygin remains a symbol of strength and honest victories. This tournament named after him has long become the main winter sports event and the most important tradition for all Krasnoyarsk fans, reflecting the spirit of Siberians and our character. I am sure that this tournament helped each of you gain professional experience and discover yourself. Come for victories next year! Krasnoyarsk is always happy to welcome our good friends!

Three of the medals to the Russian national team were brought by athletes from the Krasnoyarsk Region. The first medal of the regional team was won by Dinara Kudaeva. This representative of Lesosibirsk defeated the Crimean Amina Tandelova with a score of 2:0 in the weight category up to 65 kg:

— This is my sixth attempt to take a medal at the tournament. I'm very happy. I am grateful to my coaching staff and my family. By the way, in 2011, my coach Anna Polovneva won the gold award of this competition. I repeated her success! This is amazing!

Khanum Velieva became the four-time winner of the tournament in the weight category up to 68 kg. The Siberian athlete defeated Belarusian wrestler Alina Shevchuk with a score of 2:1:

— Preparing for the tournament was more difficult, as the fights themselves proved easier for me. But the final one was the hardest of the entire tournament. I have to give credit to my opponent. I am sure that in the near future it will be difficult for athletes to beat her in our weight category. Thanks to Krasnoyarsk for your support! It's always easier to compete 'at home'.

Kristina Shumova added the bronze award to the Krasnoyarsk team's treasury. The judges praised her for her will to win.

The Krasnoyarsk city freestyle wrestling school was represented at the tournament by the four-time champion of the Grand Prix Israil Kasumov. In the weight category up to 74 kg, the athlete took 5th place, losing the final fight for 3rd place to an athlete from Uzbekistan.

On the final day of the competition, the traditional Award of the Mayor of the city amounting to 250 thousand rubles was received by Dinara Kudaeva. The Award of the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Region - a certificate for 300 thousand rubles - was awarded to Khanum Velieva.

The award of 50 thousand rubles for the best technique went to the Russian athlete Abasgadzhi Magomedov.
