The First International Festival of auteur documentary cinema SiberiaDOC will be taking place in Krasnoyarsk from December 1 to 10. Films from 15 countries will take part in the competition program.

The guests of the Festival will be treated to creative documentaries. The genre heavily features unique stories, spectacle and innovative cinematography. According to the director of the film festival Nikolai Boehm, a great interest was expressed on the part of the participants. The organizers received more than 2,900 applications from 120 countries. The commission selected 20 works for the competition, including films from Russia, Hungary, Belgium, Spain, Brazil, Mexico and other countries.

During the Festival, the jury will determine the very best shor and feature-length movies. The Audience Award and the Film Critics Guild Award will also be presented.

The festival is supported by the Russian Ministry of Culture. The co-organizer is the Siberian Institute for the Development of Creative Industries.
