The grand opening of the main location of the XV Krasnoyarsk Museum Biennale titled "AVENISEESINEVA" took place on October 26, at the Ploschad Mira Museum Centre.

According to the organizers, the main project of the biennale "AVENISEESINEVA" ("There is blue in the Yenisei") is real stories, the properties of the landscapes of local Siberian places. The exhibition based on the results of expeditions embarked on by artists tells us stories about architecture, landscape and territory of the Yenisei basin.​

— The artists found archival photographs of floods in Yeniseisk, learned about the invasion of bats at the beginning of the 20th century in Minusinsk, made sketches of gnat in Dudinka, and even turned Norilsk into a computer game, – shared the Museum's representative.

The exhibition covers two floors of the Museum, recreating the geography of the region from south to north, as the exhibits convey the atmosphere of the Siberian space all the way from Kyzyl to Norilsk.

Minister of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Region Arkady Zinov noted that the biennale is one of the most important art-related events in the region:

— The Ploschad Mira Museum Centre became the first in our country to hold such an event back in 1995. Each of them has become its own beast possessing its own unique theme. I believe it's important to continue supporting contemporary art in the region. I thank all the artists participating in the biennale and the staff of the Museum Centre. I am confident that the fifteenth Krasnoyarsk Museum Biennale will leave a noticeable mark on the cultural life of both the Krasnoyarsk Region and Russia as a whole.
