The "Hvorostovsky" Arts Festival opens in Krasnoyarsk on October 13.

More than 250 musicians from 6 countries will take part in the Festival, according to the Krasnoyarsk Philharmonic Society:

— The Festival begins on October 13. The prima donna of the world opera stage Hibla Gerzmava will open the first day with a concert. <…> In total, more than 250 musicians from 6 countries of the world will take part in the Festival, including Russia, China, Korea, Kazakhstan, Belarus and France.

According to the organizers, the Festival will for the first time be touring in three cities of Russia – Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk and Moscow. "The world-famous opera singer Aida Garifullina decided to join the Krasnoyarsk "Hvorostovsky" Arts Festival. <…> The opera diva will take part in three concerts: on October 31 in Krasnoyarsk, November 3 on the stage of the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, and November 5 in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory", – explained the Festival's representative.

The concept of the Festival this year is dedicated to the Year of the Teacher and Mentor. As part of the event, stars of the world opera stage will perform together with winners of various international music competitions, and will also conduct master classes to students.

About the Festival:

The Krasnoyarsk Arts Festival will be taking place in Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk and Moscow from October 13 to November 5. For the first time in Krasnoyarsk, the event is joined by the honored ensemble of Russia the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the St. Petersburg Philharmonia. The Festival is organized by the Krasnoyarsk Philharmonic Society with the support of the Regional government.
