From August 12 to 17, the Children's Dance Theatre "Orlyonok" ("Eaglets" in English) gave their first concerts in Beijing. Previously, the team has already shown its repertoire throughout Russia, as well as in 17 countries around the world.

On August 12, a concert programme titled "From Russia with Love" was performed at the Russian House in Beijing, which introduced the Chinese public to Russian choreographic art. The performance began with the number "Motherland", which the children performed in costumes in the color of the national flag of Russia.

On August 14 and August 16, the young performers danced at the venues of the Tiantongyuan Culture and Art Center and of the Tongzhou District Culture House. In addition to the main programme, the team performed their famous Kalinka number, which is considered the repertoire's hallmark.

On August 17, the dancers performed at the site of the China Millennium Monument Complex together with a local Chinese children's dance team.

In addition to the tour, the ensemble also conducted master classes in folk dance: the participants were taught the basic movements and later prepared a joint performance with the Orlyonok team.
