​On August 26-27, a large-scale festival "Robofriendship – Krasnoyarsk – 2023" will be held on the Central Embankment of the Yenisei River. The project's visitors will have the opportunity to become spectators of a real championship in robotics and participants in the festival of original board games.

The robotics championship will be attended by kids aged 6 to 18 years – a total of 50 teams from 14 regions of the country: Krasnodar, Krasnoyarsk, Perm, Irkutsk, Lipetsk, Moscow, Murmansk, Sakhalin, Sverdlovsk, Tyumen, Chelyabinsk Regions, Udmurt and Lugansk People's Republics, as well as St. Petersburg.

The theme of the championship is "Energy Charge". This means that the robots developed by the young engineers in advance must be powered by any type of energy, including electrical, mechanical, light, heat, etc. The participants of the championship will have to present the robots they have designed on their own and compete on the playing field in three categories: "Researchers" (6-9 years old), "Engineers" (10-16 years old) and "Technological Engineers" (12-18 years old).

— The projects of the youngest participants will be modeled using a construction kit, whereas the adult engineers will show works constructed using any materials they deemed appropriate. The task is to complete a mission on the playing field. Robots will compete both in autonomous and controlled modes. As a rule, such competitions turn out to be very spectacular, – said the organiser of the championship, chairman of the ANO "Laboratory for Robotics. Engineers of the Future" Maxim Turushev.

A festival of original board games titled "Kaleidoscope" will be held on the site of the Lively River-Banks project at the same time, as this is another popular direction in engineering and technical design. 100 Krasnoyarsk schoolchildren aged 14 to 18 will take part in it. They have already developed 150 unique board games about the solar system, the human body, continents and oceans, Krasnoyarsk Stolby Nature Reserve, and the Krasnoyarsk Region.

— This project helps Krasnoyarsk school students to develop creative thinking, participate in real teamwork, as well as figure out how to make a game not only useful, but also interesting. The participants will master the technology of modeling, creating and presenting board games, – emphasized Yulia Gafarova, Head of the Project Management Division of the Mayor's Department.
