Mayor of Krasnoyarsk Vladislav Loginov, who is also the Chairman of the Council of Municipalities of the Krasnoyarsk Region, participated in the session "International Interregional Cooperation. Opportunity Economics" at the invitation of the All-Russian Association for the Development of Local Governments.

The business meeting of the heads of cities and mayors of foreign countries took place within the framework of the second summit, the economic and humanitarian forum "Russia - Africa" in St. Petersburg on July 27-28. The event was held under the motto "For Peace, Security and Development".

12 people arrived at the summit as part of the delegation from of the All-Russian Association for the Development of Local Governments, including the Mayor of Krasnoyarsk, heads of the Dinsky district of the Krasnodar Region, the cities of Krasnodar, Lipetsk, Magadan, Severodvinsk, Rostov-on-Don, Suzdal, Veliky Novgorod, Derbent, as well as the chairmen of the Councils of municipalities of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.

Foreign experts from various countries of the African continent also took part in the business discussions of the forum. Among them were the Mayor of the urban district of Etekwini Thomas Mxolisi Kaunda, the coordinator of the committees of the African National Congress (South Africa) Sizakele Emelda Nkosi-Malobane and many others.

President Vladimir Putin addressed the participants at the reception. According to him, the presence of the executive bodies of the two countires "indicates the desire of Russia and African countries to expand and deepen mutually beneficial ties and contacts."

During the session, the participants exchanged experience and knowledge in the field of urban studies, modernization of transport infrastructure, tourism development, as well as improving the quality of life in megacities. Discussed were also new approaches to managing the urban environment and creating smart cities.

At the panel discussion, the experts from Russia and Africa presented best practices in the field of introducing innovative approaches and technologies, modernizing and improving infrastructure, and also discussed a set of measures to create a favorable business environment and attract foreign investment.
