​Mayor Vladislav Loginov welcomed back the school students who returned from the National Robotics Championship which took place in Yekaterinburg. A total of 17 teams from Krasnoyarsk took part in the Championship. The kids won the first place, as well as other prize-winning places in various nominations and categories. One of the teams, Aspiriti, became the absolute winner of the Championship in the senior age group.

The project of another team, Future of Siberia, was recognized as the best in the competition. The young engineers have developed a computer mouse that charges itself.

— The design of the mouse has piezoelectric element. When you press those elements, an electric current is generated, which goes to the battery, – said Andrei Ponomarenko, a member of the team. – We printed the mouse body on a 3D printer, made a board and assembled an electrical circuit. In the future, we want to add a wheel to the circuit so that more electricity can be generated.

According to Maxim Turushev, director of ANO "Laboratory for Robotics "Engineers of the Future", a member of the Civic Chamber of the city, the project of the Future of Siberia team was recommended for participation in the International Robotics Championship in India in July. A number of upcoming tournaments are planned to be held in Krasnoyarsk as well. In August, it is planned to organise the International Open Championship in the city with the participation of 70 teams, and in the spring of 2024, the fifth anniversary of the National Robotics Championship.

— Young Krasnoyarsk roboticists from year to year confirm in practice that they are the best. At the same time, along with high intelligence, the kids have a deep sense of patriotism and solidarity. They communicate with their peers from the Luhansk People's Republic. They helped them prepare for the last National Championship. After that, the roboticists from the LPR showed a decent result, thanks in large part to the support from Krasnoyarsk. I am sure that such friendship of the teams should develop and bring maximum benefit to our relations, – Mayor Vladislav Loginov noted.
