On October 27, Krasnoyarsk hosted a solemn awards ceremony for the winners of the II All-Russian Children's Environmental Festival "EcoTales from Roev Ruchey".


The main objective of the festival was to draw the attention of children and their parents to environmental issues: the preservation of plants and animals, ecosystems and the biosphere as a whole.

The participants managed to artfully express their vision of the future of the planet in creative and scientific works.


2,476 children aged 3 to 18 years old from 48 large cities and more than 139 small towns and villages of Russia took part in the Festival.

In total, the participants competed in 6 categories:​

1.         Nature is a priceless gift, one for all.
2.         Our green planet through child's eyes.
3.         Eco-lens.
4.         Manifold of age-old traditions.
5.         Modernity and tradition.
6.         Nature. Culture. Environment.

The director of Roev Ruchey Park Andrey Gorban delivered a welcoming speech. He congratulated every participant for submitting their works at the competition and congratulated the winners:

— I thank all the participants of this wonderful festival. I am confident that the future of our environment is in good hands. Thank you.


The event took place thanks to the initiative of the Park of Flora and Fauna "Roev Ruchey", the city's Main Department of Culture, Main Department of Education, with the support of numerous partners and sponsors.

The Ist Environmental Festival  "EcoTales from Roev Ruchey"took place in 2021​ in partnership with the Municipal Zoological Garden in Warsaw (Poland) with the financial support of the Foundation "the Russian-Polish Centre for Dialogue and Understanding". 
In 2021, a total of 2,497 children aged 3 to 18 from 41 larger territories and more than 127 small towns and villages of Russia and 37 participants from Poland (Warsaw) successfully participated in 6 competitive categories of the Festival.​
