On October 8, the opening of the Third Dmitry Hvorostovsky Festival took place in the regional center. This year, the main musical event in the cultural life of the region is dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the birth of the world famous singer.

That evening, opera singer and friend of Dmitry Hvorostovsky Ildar Abdrazakov, as well as soloists of the Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theater Anna Avakyan and Sevastyan Martynyuk performed on the stage of the Great Hall of the Krasnoyarsk Philharmonic. Behind the conductor's stand of the Krasnoyarsk Academic Symphony Orchestra was its artistic director and chief conductor Vladimir Lande. This concert opened the traditional festival cycle "The Best Voices of the World".

This festival is a tribute to our friend's memory. As long as the festival is alive, we will talk about him, we will remember him. And it is a great honor for me to open this festival, especially in the year of the 60th anniversary of Dmitri's birth.

From October 8 to October 23, concerts will be held on the stages of the Krasnoyarsk Philharmonic and the Opera and Ballet Theater with the participation of famous opera singers and musicians from Russia and Europe, who not only had the opportunity to perform with Dmitri Hvorostovsky, but also were his friends.

The central event of the festival will be a gala concert with the participation of the Krasnoyarsk Academic Symphony Orchestra conducted by Eduard Topchyan, which will take place on October 16, the birthday of Dmitri Hvorostovsky.

The two-week program of the festival will end with a concert by the prima donna of the Bolshoi Theater Dinara Aliyeva.

The festival was established in 2019 on the initiative of the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Rergion Alexander Viktorovich Uss and the parents of the singer - Lyudmila Petrovna and Alexander Stepanovich Hvorostovsky. The festival is held by the Krasnoyarsk Foundation for the Development of Art named after Dmitri Hvorostovsky with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Krasnoyarsk Region and the Ministry of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Region.
