In March of 2020, Krasnoyarsk will host the stages of the FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup. The Aerials and Moguls competitions will be held at the courses of Sopka Cluster, one of the Winter Universiade 2019 sports venues.

According to the Calendar of the International Ski Federation (FIS), Russia will hold six stages of the FIS Freestyle World Cup—Aerials, Moguls and Ski-Cross. First stages of the World Cup will be held in January of 2020 when Moscow and Saint-Petersburg will host two stages of Aerials. In February, Chelyabinsk Region will be the place of Ski-Cross stages of the World Cup and the final stages will be held on 7 and 8 March in Krasnoyarsk.

 

Sopka Cluster was the venue that hosted Freestyle Skiing and Snowboard competitions of the Winter Universiade 2019 from 1 to 11 March. The Sports Complex includes 7 sports venues and 5 courses intended for Snowboard, Slopestyle Skiing, Ski-Cross competitions and training sessions, as well as courses for Aerials, Moguls, Ski Halfpipe and Parallel Snowboard disciplines. In terms of equipment and technological level, this is the second largest project of this kind in Russia and the only one in its eastern part.
