Leninskiy district – the district where the sun rises

Leninskiy district of Krasnoyarsk was formed on August 28 in 1942 with the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR. Today, it covers the area of 58.44 square kilometers and has 92 streets. The district borders upon Kirovskiy district and Berezovsky district. The population of the district is 148.3 thousand people.
The district has 21 schools, 4 institutions of further education, 6 institutions of higher and secondary education, 9 institutions of physical training and sports, 15 cultural institutions, 15 health facilities and 16 pharmacies, 286 stores and shopping centers and 47 public catering establishments.

Settled in the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, in 1942, it created a whole generation of people who made a victory in the home front: thousands of people came here to work at the enterprises of the region for the good of the Homeland. Beginning with the workers huts and dirt roads, Leninskiy district has greatly changed 70 years later, but maintained its labor "highlight". The district is changing considerably year by year, becoming a modern and cozy with comfortable houses, new supermarkets and shopping malls, squares, courtyards and fountains.
However, above all, Leninskiy district has always been the industrial center of Krasnoyarsk.
