​Representatives of the Krasnoyarsk Region ​secured medals at the Karate Dream Festival 2026 International Tournament held in Tokyo, Japan, on July 18-19. The tournament gathered 4057 athletes from 23 countries, a record-breaking number of participants for a full-contact karate event, which was officially submitted to the Guinness World Records.  

Krasnoyarsk athletes won 2 bronze medals. Ramil Aliev achieved 3rd place in the weight category up to 70 kg. Dmitry Jumygin won bronze in the weight category up to 80 kg​. The Krasnoyarsk R​egion was repr​esented by 10 athletes from Krasnoyarsk and Kansk; three of them have already entered Russia national team.

The Karate Dream Festival International Tournament is considered one of the most prestigious karate event in the world. It is held annually in Tokyo and attracts thousands of participants from all over the world. ​​
