Recently, Vietnam hosted the first-ever ultramarathon with the participation of about 2 thousand athletes from 38 countries. Athletes competed at distances of 70, 50, 25, 10 and 5 kilometers.

Krasnoyarsk residents Yuri Shtankov and Elena Anisimova took part in the sports events. Both athletes represent one local sports club.

Yuri Shtankov was the first of 348 athletes to cover a distance of 50 kilometers, reaching the finish line in 5:36:12. The second finalist arrived half an hour later.

Elena Anisimova covered the same distance and came second among women and ninth overall with a time of 06:58:57.
