"New Year’s Kaleidoscope"​ is one of the city's annual New Year competitions celebrating the creativity of its residents. This year's contest was dedicated to one of Russia's most famous writers Alexander Pushkin and his fables. The best "New Year's Ornament", "Composition", "Mask" and "New Year of the Peoples of Russia" pieces were chosen out of the submitted works.

As part of the "New Year's Kaleidoscope", Krasnoyarsk residents sent in their crafts. Dozens of Krasnoyarsk families took part in the competition and the 20 best works were awarded.

First place in the New Year's Ornament category was won by the Gunter family from the Leninsky district. They made a toy in the form of an old TV showing a scene from the "Tale about a Fisherman and a Fish".

The work of the Shishkin family from the Sverdlovsky district dedicated to the characters of Pushkin's Lukomorye was chosen as the best New Year's composition.

The Swan Princess mask made by the Katran' family from the Kirovsky district was recognized as the best New Year's mask.

Within the special "New Year of the Peoples of Russia" category the winner was the work "Letter to Grandfather Frost" by the Mikhailov family from the Kirovsky district.
