Gold and silver awards bring home artists of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre from the All-Russian competition of ballet dancers and choreographers, which took place in Yaroslavl.

The All-Russian Competition of Ballet Dancers and Choreographers is the creation of the legendary ballet master Yuri Grigorovich. The competition has been held since 2013 in thematic cycles. Today the competition was dedicated to character and folk stage dance.

The winner of the first prize was the ballet dancer of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre Georgi Bolsunovsky, as he was in 2020. Matvey Nikishaev and Anastasia Nigmatulina won silver and became laureates of the second prize. The artists performed in the senior group of the Character dance category.

The competition programme included three stages, one in absentia (the contestants submitted a video recording), two in-person, in each of which the participants presented two numbers.

In the end, artists and teachers of the Opera Theatre outskilled those of theaters from various cities of Russia, including the capital.
