Aeroflot Russian Airlines opened its hub at the Krasnoyarsk international airport. For regular passengers this means new flights for various domestic routes.

The opening took place this morning, May 31, and was broadcast on the airport's public page.

Starting June 1, Aeroflot is to launch flights from Krasnoyarsk to five destinations: Irkutsk, Krasnodar, Sochi, Blagoveshchensk and Simferopol. The plans are to expand the route network, including international destinations.

— We see international directions for Krasnoyarsk, namely China – most likely starting 2022. So Asia's possible, as well as the CIS member countries.

Krasnoyarsk airport became the second base after the Sheremetyevo hub in Moscow.
