April 3 has been marked by a city-wide Japanese origami skill contest. The 2021 competition has become the VII in general and the IV covering the whole city, with the first one taking place in far 2000 and only taking a single Krasnoyarsk district. 

This year's origami contest managed to attract more than 2500 young talents, only 90 of which were chosen to compete in five age groups. 

The participants had to solve both theoret​ical AND practical tasks, this time based on the topic of space and astronomy due to 2021 being the first human spaceflight anniversary.​
