On November 1st the Krasnoyarsk Pushkin Drama Theatre celebrated its 150th anniversary.

The first building of the theatre was a wooden one, constructed in 1874 on the spot, where the «Lokomotiv» stadium is now situated. In 1902 the theatre moved to its new stone building on Mira Avenue, where you can find it today. It was a truly public theater as Krasnoyarsk citizens gathered money for its construction. The then Public Theatre House rapidly became the centre of Krasnoyarsk cultural life.
